Doubledays Top Black Bears, 3-0, Behind Knoth
The Auburn Doubledays beat the West Virginia Black Bears, 3-0, at Falcon Park. Starting pitcher Josh Knoth was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Freddy Cruz notched his 15th save in 18 chances. The Doubledays raised their record to 25-42.

Knoth earned the win, going 7 strong innings for Auburn. The native of Medford, New York, allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 7. West Virginia hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Auburn manager Vance Wilson said.
