Rumble Ponies Drop Flying Squirrels, 5-3
|
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies downed the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 5-3. The hitting star was catcher Hunter Goodman. Goodman went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Rumble Ponies. The Rumble Ponies raised their record to 13-7.
With Binghamton leading 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Goodman hit a fastball from Steve Frer for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Rumble Ponies ahead, 5-1.
"Feels good to get the job done," Goodman said after the game.
