Rumble Ponies Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
NYSEG Stadium was host to some intense drama.
Richmond got a big-time effort from pitcher Jordan Wicks, but it wasn't enough to keep the Binghamton Rumble Ponies from winning the game, 2-1. Wicks threw 9.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The Rumble Ponies, now 14-7, have been on a roll in the early going.
Wicks pitched a very strong game for the Flying Squirrels, allowing 5 hits in 9 innings while striking out 7. It was all for naught, however.
