Narrow Win Takes Binghamton Streak to 7
|
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies topped the Erie SeaWolves, 4-3, in 13 innings. Binghamton designated hitter Jacob Teter, in particular, was impressive. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Binghamton pitcher Russell Smith got the win. He's now 1-0. Lorenzo Guerreb was tagged with the loss. The loss makes Erie 8-15.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the 13th, with Binghamton trailing 3-1, Teter hit a sinker from Lorenzo Guerreb for a 3-run home run, giving the Rumble Ponies the walk-off win.
"It's great when the crowd is energized," Teter said.
