Matias, Baysox Wallop Rumble Ponies in Game 2 of R1
Riding the 2-hit performance of left fielder Seuly Matias, the Bowie Baysox stopped the visiting Binghamton Rumble Ponies, 8-2, in Game 2 of the Championship today. Matias hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5 for the Baysox, who now lead the best-of-5 series, 2 games to 0.

In the bottom of the third, Matias had one of his most important at-bats: a 3-run home run off Brent Lotzk that staked the Baysox to a 5-2 lead.

"We'll put that win in the can," said Matias, "and go after the next one."

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 8th , 2024 at NYSEG Stadium in Binghamton.
