Mazara Good, But Not Good Enough, in 8-6 Loss
Los Angeles got a terrific game from right fielder Nomar Mazara. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Cleveland, 8-6. Mazara went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. Cleveland reliever Dustin Lane was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Alex Holtmann took the loss. Riley Pint picked up the save for Cleveland, his 6th of the year.

Cleveland relied on the hitting of Evan Waxman to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Guardians on top, 7-3. For the game, Waxman had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.

"Nice win for us," said Waxman. "Now we'll go after the next one."

The Guardians go to 19-34 with the win.
