Trade: Pearson for Coan

In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Cincinnati Reds and the Tampa Bay Rays have agreed to a deal that will have 25-year old SS Royce Lewis and 28-year old RHP Nate Pearson heading to Tampa Bay in exchange for 25-year old minor league RHP Jack Coan, 22-year old minor league C Jack Dingle, and 23-year old minor league 1B Spencer Brasch. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games.
Since making his league debut, Pearson has made 114 appearances and nailed down no saves with 504 Ks in 476 innings. In his career he has a record of 33 wins and 28 losses and a 4.56 ERA.

Hit Parade: Enfield Pops 5 Hits

WDL Lanai Islanders first baseman Hudson Enfield banged out 5 hits today, but it was not enough to keep his club from succumbing to the WDL Banzai Waves, 9-6. He went 5-for-5 and raised his batting average a few points.
"If the hits keep coming," an upbeat Enfield said after the game, "the runs will too. And, more importantly, so will the wins."
Hudson Enfield singled in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
This year Enfield is hitting .478 with 1 home run.

Mariners Negotiate $6,900,420 Deal with Aumont

Despite his solid numbers, some fans questioned the value of the Phillippe Aumont signing even as Seattle officials paraded him before the media this afternoon.
Aumont will surely bring a lot to the club, but he comes at a price of $6,900,420 over 1 year.
Thus far in his career, Aumont has 170 saves with a 34-52 record and a 3.29 ERA.
