Brewers Rally Past Diamondbacks for 1-0 Series Lead
|
The Milwaukee Brewers powered past the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks, 7-6, in the opener of the Wild Card Series at American Family Field today. Milwaukee center fielder Roberto Torres was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, to lead the charge. The Brewers now lead the series 1-0.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Milwaukee first baseman Nick Pratto, facing Orlando García, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Brewers the 7-6 win.
"This place was rockin'," said Torres.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at American Family Field in Milwaukee.
