Altoona Makes It 8 Straight with 6-4 Win
The Altoona Curve picked up a win at Peoples Natural Gas Field, taking down the Reading Fightin Phils, 6-4. Starting pitcher Shane Goldman was a big reason why. George Clark earned the save, his 7th, for the Curve. The Curve, now 18-7, have hit the ground running this season.

Steven Johnson aided the Altoona cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop was 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Altoona manager Luis M. Lopez.
