Rockies Lose to Red Sox, 4-2

Boston pitcher Roberto Muñíz did his part in helping his team beat the Colorado Rockies, 4-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Muñíz went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 5-4. Boston now has a record of 35-32 with the win.
The Red Sox got a big at-bat from catcher Whit Olmstead. For the game, Olmstead went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Boston a 4-1 lead.
"Roberto -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Red Sox manager Mike Matheny. "He was the key to us winning."
