The home crowd had a good time watching the Portland Sea Dogs and Richmond Flying Squirrels get after it.

Behind a solid performance from center fielder Isaiah Fisher-Smith, the Richmond Flying Squirrels defeated the Portland Sea Dogs, 9-4. Fisher-Smith went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Flying Squirrels. With the win, Richmond raised its record to 19-11.

The Flying Squirrels got a big at-bat from catcher Kirk Liebert. For the game, Liebert went 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Richmond a 5-4 lead.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Fisher-Smith told the Richmond Chronicle.
