Rockies Lose By a Run at Houston, 4-3
|
The Houston Astros defeated the Colorado Rockies, 4-3, in American League action at Minute Maid Park. Houston pitcher Reginald McMillan had a standout performance. The winner was Raisel Iglesias in relief. His record improves to 4-5. Holden Powell took the loss. With the win, Houston upped its record to 47-33.
Had Richard Fowler not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Fowler hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Astros.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Colorado skipper Torey Lovullo, "and it cost us."
