Big Day for Wolfe in 8-4 Cardinals Win
|
The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Chicago Cubs, 8-4, at Busch Stadium. St. Louis catcher Bernie Wolfe had a superb performance. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The win belongs to Brett Marshall in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Spencer Jones took the loss for Chicago. The third-place Cardinals have won 4 straight games.
