Bats Fail for Cubs in 3-0 Loss
|
The Baltimore Orioles beat the Chicago Cubs, 3-0, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Starting pitcher Riley Ferguson was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Wes Clark earned his 13th save in 14 chances. Baltimore now has a 3-game win streak.
Ferguson, a native of Millersville, Tennessee, was dealing all game. He kept Chicago hitters off-balance, while giving the Orioles 8.2 quality innings. Ferguson threw 82 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 2.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Ferguson. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
