Angels Lose to Mariners, 6-3
|
Seattle beat Los Angeles on the strength of starter Owen White's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-3. Picking up the save was Roger Willis, his 12th. The third-place Mariners improved to 53-42.
Seattle used the bat of Victor Adams to capture the win. The right fielder jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Mariners ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"I like our moxie," said Mariners manager Joe Inglett.
