Blue Jays Improve to 61-42 with 5-2 Win
Toronto Blue Jays starter Sean Gilmartin turned in an exceptional performance against the Los Angeles Angels at Rogers Centre, resulting in a Toronto win, 5-2. Pasqualino Carosi converted his 30th save in 35 tries. The win elevated the Blue Jays to 61-42.

Toronto took a 3-2 lead on Brandon Brownell's 16th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Los Angeles pitcher Dane Ferguson in the bottom of the eighth.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Brownell told the Toronto Times.
