The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Chicago Cubs, 2-1. Milwaukee pitcher and Pottsboro, Texas, native Kyle Wright led the way. Milwaukee reliever Durbin Feltman was the winner. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Josh Garrett. Milwaukee raised its record to 59-50 with the win.
Roberto Torres drove in one run for Milwaukee. In a tie game with one out in the bottom of the seventh, Torres came through with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Brewers in front, 2-1.
"I was a little disappointed," said Chicago manager Chip Hale. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
