Schneider Leads Fightin Phils to 8-1 Win Over SeaWolves
|
Fightin Phils first baseman Werner Schneider put his stamp on his team's 8-1 win over the Erie SeaWolves. Schneider was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2 for Reading in the contest. Brady Cook picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-1. He struck out 10 in 7.1 innings. The win puts Reading at 19-19 this season.
Edwin Griffin was 1 for 3 with 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs against the SeaWolves. In the bottom of the first inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, putting Reading in front, 1-0.
