Twins Walk It Off for 84th Win of Season
The Minnesota Twins had to overcome a big game from Cleveland center fielder Alek Thomas to leave Target Field with a victory. And they did, winning 10-9. Thomas was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Minnesota reliever Jimmy Bannatyne picked up the win, upping his record to 7-1. Michael Favre shouldered the loss. Minnesota improves to 84-49 with the win. They lead their division by 19½ games.

Richard Edwards was the walk-off hero for Minnesota. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Twins catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"Crazy game," said Edwards after it ended.
