Cincinnati left fielder Joshua Lowe contributed to his team's 7-4 win over the Chicago Cubs. Lowe went 1 for 2 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Reds. Ben Rowen got the save, his 12th in 15 chances. Cincinnati occupies third place in the National League Central at 63-75.
Cincinnati took a 3-2 lead on Rafael Castillo's 28th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Chicago pitcher Anthony Klumpp in the bottom of the eighth.
