Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago Cubs.

The Arizona Diamondbacks got a stellar performance from pitcher Juan Ibarra, who handcuffed the Chicago offense en route to a win, 2-0, at Wrigley Field. Ibarra, the winner, moves to 7-4. He threw 6.1 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 3 walks. Orlando García got the save, his 12th in 15 chances.

Miguel Velazquez, the 35-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Velazquez contributed a run-scoring strikeout in the top of the seventh inning to put Arizona up, 2-0.

"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager John Farrell.

The third-place Diamondbacks have won 9 straight.
