The home crowd had a good time watching the Altoona Curve and Trenton Thunder get after it.

The Trenton Thunder racked up a win at Mercer County Waterfront Park, bumping off the Altoona Curve, 6-2. Brian Brooks, who started for Trenton, pitched effectively for his team. Mason Lobbestael earned the save for Trenton, his 1st of the year.

The Thunder got an important contribution from second baseman Ernest Miller, who in the bottom of the third punched a first pitch slider into right for a bases-clearing double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Thunder ahead, 5-1.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Brooks.

Trenton goes to 2-3.
