Twins Lose, 7-3, at Progressive Field

Behind a solid performance from right fielder Nick Williams, the Cleveland Indians defeated the Minnesota Twins, 7-3. Williams was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Indians. Stephen Strasburg earned the win for Cleveland. He lasted 8 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 14-5. Mark McCain finished to wrap up his 33rd save.
Williams contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Cleveland in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Williams took a slider from Masahiro Tanaka and stroked the home run to center. His 12th home run of the season allowed the Indians to leap in front, 3-1.
