Blue Jays Earn 2-1 Win Versus Red Sox
|
For the home crowd, it was a thrilling walk-off win.
The Toronto Blue Jays went home winners at Rogers Centre, thanks in large part to starter Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw stifled the Boston Red Sox, enabling Toronto to grab the 2-1 win. The American League East-leading Blue Jays are 87-62.
The Blue Jays procured the win, in large part because of third baseman Anthony Rendon. In the bottom of the 13th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Rendon said.
