Kandilas, Rockies Beat Giants, 7-6

The Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.
A 3-RBI performance from right fielder David Kandilas, who is on pace for 66 RBI this season, led the Colorado Rockies to a win over the San Francisco Giants, 7-6. Colorado reliever Bob Crouch picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Tony Graham was saddled with the loss. Holden Powell recorded his 5th save for Colorado.
Had Alonso Martínez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Martínez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Rockies.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Kandilas.
The triumph puts Colorado at 94-54 for the season.
