The Bowie Baysox beat the Akron RubberDucks, 4-2. Bowie pitcher and De Witt, Iowa, native T.J. Sikkema led the way. Sikkema got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Sikkema allowed 2 runs.
