The Altoona Curve defeated the Portland Sea Dogs, 9-1, at Peoples Natural Gas Field today. Leading the charge for Altoona was right fielder Jared Tessitore. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 3. Portland's current losing streak is now 4 games.

The Curve got an important contribution from designated hitter Jordan Gilmore, who in the bottom of the third punched a first pitch curveball into left for a 2-run double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Curve ahead, 3-0.

Portland manager Dusty Wathan said his team was "out of sync."
