Chihuahuas Sink Aviators, 11-4

Fans of the El Paso Chihuahuas who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a El Paso win over the visiting Las Vegas Aviators, 11-4. Braxton Ashcroft started for the home team against Cole Henry. Ken Foster earned accolades for his performance. Braxton Ashcroft, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-0. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 4 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 3.
Jung-hoo Lee, who signed a 8-year contract worth $114,500,000 on 01/13/2024, aided the El Paso cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the first. For the game, the center fielder drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances.
