5-Hit Blitz by Nelson
Tuesday, April 23rd , 2024
Gunnar Nelson was unstoppable, but the Omaha Storm Chasers were not.
Despite his hitting heroics at Wichita Ballpark today, the Storm Chasers lost 7-6 to the Wichita Wind Surge. Nelson battered Wichita for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book.
Nelson just shook his head after the game, telling BNN reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins, not the most hits."
Gunnar Nelson doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Hunter Barco in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
