Starting pitcher Derrick Spencer was a major factor in the 5-2 Reno Aces triumph over the El Paso Chihuahuas. Tommy Doyle nailed down his 2nd save. El Paso, with the loss, is 5-3.

Reno took a 5-2 lead on Stephen Cox's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off El Paso pitcher Brad Bentley in the bottom of the eighth.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Reno manager Jose Valentin. "Our pregame was pretty good."
