The Memphis Redbirds did just enough to sneak past the Wichita Wind Surge, 6-5, at AutoZone Park. Memphis designated hitter J.J. Bleday, in particular, had a standout performance. The winner was Jesse Pattee in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Adam HIll took the loss. Wichita falls to 8-12.

Memphis took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Bleday hit a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season made the score 5-3, Memphis.

"I felt good up there," said Bleday. "I saw the ball well."
