Tacoma rode a good effort from starter Mithcell Leidner to beat the Reno Aces at Aces Ballpark. The final score was 3-1. Reno, now 5-17, continues its tough start.

Leidner, a native of Mankato, Minnesota, was dealing all game. He kept Reno hitters off-balance, while giving the Rainiers 7 quality innings. Leidner threw 94 pitches, allowing 1 hit and striking out 8.

"This was a tough loss," said Reno manager Jose Valentin. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
