Spirited fans greeted the El Paso Chihuahuas for their clash with the Sacramento River Cats.

Sacramento River Cats starter Jackson Wilson pitched his team past the El Paso Chihuahuas, 5-1. Juan Méndez, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.

Kody Hoese, who is tied for 8th in the PC with a .525 slugging percentage, helped out the Sacramento cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the third baseman went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Hoese.

The victory makes Sacramento 18-10.
