River Cats Absorb 4-2 Loss at Smith's Ballpark
|
The Salt Lake Bees got a strong performance from pitcher Skylar Spurrier, who stymied the Sacramento offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Smith's Ballpark. Alek Manoah got credit for the save for Salt Lake. It was his 15th of the year. With the win, Salt Lake pushed its record to 31-20.
Salt Lake took a 4-1 lead on Jeremy McDonachie's 3rd double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which McDonachie hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Sacramento pitcher Collin Hurrell shaking his head.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Salt Lake manager Mike Martin Jr..
