The Altoona Curve got a strong performance from pitcher Lenny Torres, who stymied the Erie offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Peoples Natural Gas Field. Altoona, now 6-2, is setting the league on fire so far.

Kevin Alcantara was the walk-off hero for Altoona. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Curve left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Torres attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
