Bees Take Down Grizzlies, 3-2

The Salt Lake Bees did just enough to sneak past the Fresno Grizzlies, 3-2, at Smith's Ballpark. Salt Lake pitcher Alex Hultzen, in particular, had a standout performance. The win belongs to Graeme Stinson in relief. His record improves to 4-5. Tim James took the loss for Fresno. Andrew Larson recorded the save for Salt Lake, his 10th of the season.
Salt Lake took a 3-2 lead on Jake Chapman's 8th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Chapman hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Fresno pitcher Joey Washington shaking his head.
Afterward, Bees manager Mike Martin Jr. was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
The Bees, at 75-57, lead by one game in their division.
