Big Day for Campusano in 9-7 Chihuahuas Win
El Paso and Tacoma duked it out and the Chihuahuas came out victorious.

The El Paso Chihuahuas downed the Tacoma Rainiers, 9-7, at Cheney Stadium. Luis Campusano led the way, going 4-for-5 for El Paso. El Paso pitcher Logan Boyer got the win. He's now 4-4. Matt Cox was tagged with the loss. Riley Carr recorded the save, his 16th.

Campusano made an early impact for El Paso when he stroked his 17th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which came in the top of the third, put the Chihuahuas on top, 4-2.

"Enjoyed this one," Campusano told the El Paso Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

At 69-69, the Chihuahuas claim second place in the Pacific Conference South.
