Both teams had their chances, but the Altoona Curve eventually prevailed.

Altoona Curve starter Wyatt Olds was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Portland Sea Dogs, 2-1. George Clark snagged the win in relief. In 2 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on no hits. He's now 4-4 on the season.

Altoona used the timely hitting of Andre Lipcius to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Curve on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Dusty Wathan.

The win puts Altoona at 43-24 this season.
