Flying Squirrels Stay Hot, Beat SeaWolves, 3-1

Richmond and Erie duked it out and the Flying Squirrels came out victorious.
The Richmond Flying Squirrels picked up a win at The Diamond, knocking off the Erie SeaWolves, 3-1. Starting pitcher Armando García played a key role in the triumph. García went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 5-4.
Bill Jenkins made an early impact for Richmond when he stroked his 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which came with one out in the bottom of the second, put the Flying Squirrels on top, 2-0.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Flying Squirrels manager Chris Tracz, "I like our chances."
This win makes it 5 in a row for Richmond.
