Rumble Ponies Deal Sea Dogs 6-3 Defeat
|
Binghamton starter Dylan Smith pitched well against the Portland Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-3. The losses continue to mount for Portland, which has now dropped 7 in a row.
In the top of the fourth, Binghamton designated hitter Martín Montoya had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Montoya stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 4-1, Binghamton. For the game, he was 1 for 3 with 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 2.
"Dylan is still learning," said Rumble Ponies manager Oliver Marmol. "The sky's the limit for him."
