The performance of Ismael Báez proved critical in helping New Hampshire beat Trenton, 6-2. The Fisher Cats right fielder went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Fisher Cats saw their win-loss record go to 31-39. At the same time, the Thunder fell to 25-46.

With New Hampshire leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Báez hit a curveball from Rhett Lowder for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Fisher Cats ahead, 3-0.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said New Hampshire manager Jayce Tingler.
