Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Curve
|
The Altoona Curve beat the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 6-3, at The Diamond. Altoona designated hitter Dylan Beavers had an outstanding performance. He went 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The second-place Curve have won 4 straight games.
Mason Auer, the 23-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Auer contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Altoona up, 5-3.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Beavers.
