The Erie SeaWolves eked out a 3-2 win versus the Trenton Thunder at Mercer County Waterfront Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Stephen Pikiell. He was terrific. The Thunder, at 30-72, have lost 4 straight games.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Zack Howell? The Erie third baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the SeaWolves on top, 3-0. For the game, Howell had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Pikiell called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
