Vaughn Slugs Thunder to 6-4 Win
|
Gabriel Vaughn was a major contributor to the 6-4 Trenton win over New Hampshire. The Thunder first baseman slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Trenton reliever Tim Brandt picked up the win to move to 1-1. Paul Clark suffered the loss. The Thunder sport a record of 37-66.
Homer Davis helped out the Trenton cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the catcher drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Vaughn. "And not try to do too much."
