The Erie SeaWolves had to overcome a fine effort from Bowie pitcher Max Allen to grab a narrow 3-2 win at Prince George's Stadium. Allen went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Erie pitcher Nolan Martinez got the win. He's now 6-14. Matt Ware was tagged with the loss. Tyler Waddell was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 23 of 25 save opportunities.

Cal Lepine, the slick-fielding third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Lepine contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Erie up, 2-0.
