Flying Squirrels Bump Off Senators, 5-1

Diego Quintana never let Harrisburg get something going. The Richmond right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Flying Squirrels to a 5-1 win. The winning pitcher was Quintana, now 9-7. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. Rafael Pérez closed the door for Richmond, picking up his 15th save of the year.
In the bottom of the sixth, Richmond first baseman Lucas Miller had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 3rd and one out, Miller stroked a run-scoring single to right-center. It made the score 2-1, Richmond. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with a double.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Richmond skipper Clayton McCullough.
Richmond has now won 3 in a row.
