Adams Shines in 7-0 Gem
The New Britain Rock Cats struggled at the plate today against Baysox hurler Joey Adams, who shackled them on 1 hit while hurling a complete game 7-0 shutout.

"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said Rock Cats skipper Ben Johnson in postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow."

Adams finished the game with 5 strikeouts and 2 walks in an excellent mound performance.

"He pitched real well," Bowie manager Matt Tuiasosopo said. "Joey made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."

This season Adams has compiled a 15-5 record with a 1.75 ERA in 25 starts.
