Flying Squirrels Lose to Fisher Cats in Walk Off
|
Fisher Cats fans were sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats starter Will Lucas was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 2-1. The Fisher Cats saw their win-loss record go to 57-71. At the same time, the Flying Squirrels fell to 69-59.
The Fisher Cats procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Burton Moore. In the bottom of the 14th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"I felt we were ready to go," said New Hampshire manager Jayce Tingler. "Our pregame was pretty good."
