Flying Squirrels Knock Off Fisher Cats at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium
|
The Richmond Flying Squirrels got a stellar performance from pitcher Diego Quintana, who handcuffed the New Hampshire offense en route to a win, 5-2, at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Rafael Pérez earned the save, his 17th. The third-place Fisher Cats have dropped 4 straight games.
Richmond relied on the hitting of Lucas Miller to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Flying Squirrels on top, 2-0. For the game, Miller had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Richmond manager Clayton McCullough.
