Erie picked up a win at Prince George's Stadium, bumping off the Bowie Baysox, 2-1. Pitcher Stephen Pikiell was a major reason the SeaWolves emerged victorious. Max Watson picked up the save, his 5th. Erie is now 54-83.
Erie used a well-timed hit by Blaze Jordan to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the SeaWolves ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Runs were at a premium," said Erie manager Quilvio Veras.
