Flying Squirrels Lose to RubberDucks in Walk Off
Getting a good performance from pinch hitter Cayden Wallace, the Akron RubberDucks defeated the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 8-5. Wallace was 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the RubberDucks. Reliever Enrique Díaz picked up the win. His record improves to 7-2. Tom Robson took the loss. With the win, Akron raised its record to 86-55.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the 11th, with Akron trailing 5-4, Wallace hit a fastball from Tom Robson for a grand slam home run, giving the RubberDucks the walk-off win.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Wallace, "one at-bat at a time."
